Armando's Mexican Restaurant, located in Santee, South Carolina, was awesome. The best meal of the weekend!! It has a nice atmosphere and the food was delicious. The wait staff was friendly and the food came out quickly. The margaritas were huge!! We stayed in Santee for a golf weekend. This place was muy bueno!!

I decided to give amandos a try tonight, I put in a huge order (we have a lot of people to feed) for delivery and not only was the food so so good but our whole order was spot on! I'm always worried about ordering food for delivery because of how big our orders usually have to be we always end up missing food or getting the wrong food but not this time, after the week I've had cooking was just not happening lol so glad we gave this place a try and will definitely be ordering and visiting more!

Food was great as well as the service. The front lot was completely full when we came in and we went to overflow parking in another plaza. When we went in there was no wait and the place is big. Our waitress Angel was great and was there with everything we needed. The food was great but the portions and the beers were HUGE, and not for much $$ either. We got the 2 person fajita and it could’ve fed 3, maybe even 4. Don’t trust bad reviews. Would go back next time we’re traveling through town. Also, if you stay at comfort inn you get 10% off your check if you have your key card with you. Very happy!

This was our first visit, as a "must go!" Our server, Cinnamon, was great. We were there on Tues, for "TACO TUESDAY". The $1 tacos were overfilled with moist chicken, beef and cheese. They were delicious! We also ordered "THE ROCK" and honestly ... It was a disappointment. The bowl it was served in, way too hot to touch, kept cooking the ingredients. The result was a horribly overcooked dish. We did go back on Wednesdays for their "WING WEDNESDAY" and were very pleased. 10 wings for $5.99 The experiences were pleasant and the food was served hot.

Please management read this!!! I went there this evening and felt very welcome. The staff was excellent in serving me while I was in the dining room. The food was delicious cooked to perfection and service was excellent in the dining room area. BUT...... The bar staff do not seem very attentive to the customers. I am not sure if there was a breakdown of communication with staffing or assigned duties, But obviously they were not fulfilled. Please assemble your staff or at least your bar staff and express the importance of welcoming customers and remaining attentive to them. Mind you the bar wasn't even full it may have had six patrons total. I am not a needy person whatsoever but to be completely put off by bar staff is beyond me. I really want to return because the food was so delicious.

Within 5 seconds of sitting at the bar, we were greeted with a smile & chips and salsa! Harley and Armando were so welcoming and fantastic people to talk to! The food is genuine and the portions are HUGE! I have been so excited to try this place since the parking lot is always packed! I knew there had to be a reason why. It’s delicious, a great environment, and very well run. They are also doing a great job at social distancing and keeping everything clean 😍 if I could give 10 stars, I would!

Got fajitas for 2, biggest skillet I have ever seen and it tasted awesome! Oh and pretty great prices too!!

Had dinner and a drink here last night and again today. This place has a great atmosphere and good place for visitors to get a bite to eat or drink.

Stopped by here on our way back from road trip, I really liked there ambience, nice ,chill.Service was great ,and there food was phenomenal.

Food was delicious, very filling. I had the chicken chimichangas with rice and 3 chicken tacos. I barely finished it. Space was large with a 360 bar. Music was thrash, soft love rock. Place some Mexican music to make it official.

Friendly and helpful staff. Food was ok and classic margaritas nah. They do offer some interesting flavored mix drinks. If your there to drink it would be best to sit at the bar to watch the pour and directly tip the bartender. My 2nd was very watered down. It was just an average restaurant/bar experience. The relaxed local crowd makes this stop worth a weekday visit.

Food is great the margaritas are always strong but to me the mix is not right i can't put my finger on it

Covid disaster waiting to happen. I dont know the local rules, but I do have some common sense.During my 10 minute wait for carryout,, I saw 2 waitresses, 1 busboy, 1 hostess, and 1 bartender wearing no mask while interacting with patrons. I saw a man who I believe was the manager on duty wearing his mask improperly, as well as most of the other staff. Of all the help, I busboy had it right.Patrons were elbow to elbow at the bar without a mask in sight.Two posted signs, "we support social distancing" and "no mask, no service" were totally ignored.Food? Irrelevant. If you are a local, you won't be reading this. If you are traveling thru like we are, avoid at all costs.

I wasn't impressed at all. I ordered a combination plate, one burrito, one enchilada and a tamale. A tamale is supposed to be cooked in a corn husk. All 3 were just stuffed with hamburger. My Margarita was good though. My companion liked his, almost like a steak and cheese wrap with a white cheese sauce. He liked his, I didn't like mine. I've had much more authentic Mexican food elsewhere.

This was the best experience. We had wonderful food and service(Thanks Harley) from beginning to end. We tried the wings (I know Mexican restaurant) and they are really really good. Cooked just right and the sauces were on point. All the entrees we ordered had delicious flavor and the serving size was perfect. Dessert (if you saved room) couldn't have been better. We would highly recommend this place. This is one of the worst Mexican restaurants I've ever ate at it was low grade dog food very bland the wait staff acting like they could care less even the management didn't seem to care that they serve terrible foodthe people I see writing reviews are people that brag about the margaritas and all the booze they drink there I guess you would have to be drunk to eat this dog food anyone with half of a brain wouldn't waste money here if you want a good drink or a cold beer sure if you want good food Taco Bell serves better food than this the big heavy set bartender waitress always has an excuse of why she lets people sit and wait on her she was busy doing this busy doing that we watched her do nothing on two different occasions that we visited the second time we came was to try to give the restaurant the benefit of the doubt maybe it was the one visit that was bad but that's not the case their lunch menu is awful once again low grade dog food

What can I say. The only draft beer in Santee. The chips and salsa are in abundance, food is fast and great, and the beer is cold. Bring your family for a fine sit down meal, or hang out at the oversized bar with plenty of elbow room.

THE ABSOLUTE BEST. The service was fantastic and the food was infreakincredible. The blue margarita was the best I've ever had. If your reading this review, go there. Right now. I live a state away but I'll be back. Again. And again. And again. I'd give y'all 15 stars!

Google is asking for another review. I have been here frequently. This is a great local establishment that serves great food and at great prices. Staff is great and you won't be disappointed. Lots of TVs for sports and homey feel.

Martin was an excellent server, a true host. He offered everything from the house hot sauce to expedited service. We will definitely return. Excellent patio, can't wait until it's hopping again!
